1. RACING HISTORY

Allan started in "Club Cars" in 1997, Scott started in 1998. The Club is known as "Improved Productions Racing Association" of New South Wales. The car was awarded "Best Presented " vehicle in 1998 and is currently "Leading Point Score" for 2001.

Race Trophies: 3 times in 2nd place and twice in 3rd place.

Championship Trophies: twice in 3rd place in its class.

2. RACING CATEGORIES

This class started out as Club Car Racing Registrar of NSW INC and now is known as Improved Production Racing Association, defined as the "commercially available Touring cars" and are allowed a reasonable level of modifications to allow both the racer and designer room to create an exciting form of racecar. In 2000, they have introduced the Late Model Class, allowing even more modifications to the newer cars.

This category caters for the production based mass produced cars with certain modifications. It also allows those interested in racing to start with an early model car, do the necessary modifications and you are off and running.

The cars must retain the engine block from the same manufacturer as the body and it must have the same number of cylinders (rotors) as the original car and be of the same orientation eg: east/west.

Gearboxes and differentials are free, however, they must be fitted without having to cut the tunnel to fit them. Brakes are also free.

Forced induction is allowed but must run CAMS approved restrictors. All the technical regulations are available through CAMS or in the CAMS manual for Improved Production Tourer (3J).

This class is known and run Australia wide, so if you had the finances you could run in the Queensland (QLD), Victoria (VIC) and South-Australia (S.A.) championships. This year the class has, once again been invitied to support the V8 Supercars in Darwin, Northern Territory (N.T.), but again finances hold us back.

At the end of each year the National Titles are held in different state: e.g. 1998 at Eastern Creek (NSW), 1999 at Phillip Island (VIC) and 2000 at Malalla (S.A).
